Well said Siddharth, but please have some compassion. They will know the greatness of Shiva and truly learn to respect Krishna who is also a devotee of the great Lord Shiva just as Shiva is a devotee of Vishnu.

Trying to understand the true hidden meaning of the scriptures is impossible without a Guru and mearle quoting verses from Puranas will not help. If they want quotes then they shoudl know that in the Bhagwatam it is stated that the Vaikuntha planets are held and supported by Shiva himself!

Try to see the unity in diversity, not more diversoty in deiversity!

This is a bull shit article.Utterly wrong. Many deluded vaishnavite rishis wrote these fanciful stories.Brahma,Vishnu and Mahesha are one and there is one shakthi which compliments it to carry on the cycle of creation and destruction. The author should read the Philosophy of Shankracharya instead of these nasty stories.
These stories confuse and weaken the hindu societies.

Hi,

i got a bit confused by reading this article....in my knowledge Lord Shiva is the supreme power, and this article is saying that in words of Lord Shiva "Those who describw any other deity being superior to Vishnu,The Lord of the world, are said to be Pasandis or outcastes"....

this seems opposite of what i had been thinking so far because here Lord Shiva himself instructs us to consider Lord Vishnu as the super-power.

i have read in a very important Shiv-Prayer that once Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu tried testing Shiva's powers and they saw defeat... so isn't Lord Shiva the Supreme power?

and if so, why does Lord Shiva( According to this article) tell us to worship Lord Vishnu as supreme?

i am confused a bit and to be on the safe side, i am worshipping both of them

please clarify my doubts and help me gain knowledge in this matter.

thanks and best regards
